When we talk about Islamic wedding traditions it only includes Nikkah and valima and we as a Pakistani try to focus on these traditions in Pakistani Rishta, now a Pakistani Rishta is very popular in the world. In Pakistani Rishta we do many cultural things such as many types of dances, people gathered in one place.
If we talk about Islamic wedding traditions it includes Nikah and Valima, and in Pakistani Rishta, we do these Islamic traditions as a must and focus on sunnah as well such as if we focus Islamic wedding traditions in our Pakistani Rishta we do Nikkah in Masjid give khajoor (dates) to people and haq Muhr is also included in Sunnah, the Sunnah of marrying with almost 4 women is also included in the Islamic wedding tradition.
In Pakistani Rishta, the groom in Pakistan of any age we called him as ‘boy’ and the bride as the ‘girl’, includes Mayon, Mehendi, nikkah, baraat, and valima. The days in Pakistani Rishta are 4 days, in these four days we do these cultural things in Pakistani Rishta. The first day we do Mayon all men and women dressed up in yellow kurta and applied turmeric on the bride’s face.
On the second day of Pakistani Rishta, we do Mehendi that holds in the groom’s place in this way we apply Mehendi on groom’s and bride’s face, and on this day in Pakistani Rishta, there is nikkah as Pakistan is a Muslim country so in Pakistani Rishta, focuses to includes the Islamic wedding traditions like Nikkah in Masjid and distributes khajoor (dates) to people in Pakistani Rishta focuses on Islamic wedding tradition the groom give haq mehr to bride as it is the Sunnah in Islam.
On the third day in Pakistani Rishta, we also do Shaadi (baraat) in which this ceremony is hosted by the bride’s family in which many fun activities are included in Baraat. In Baraat groom takes his bride to the home.
Finally, a fourth and final day has arrived in Pakistani Rishta that is called Valima. After the Baraat (the third day), this day in Pakistani Rishta hosted by the groom’s family. In this event there are many fun activities place like in the baraat people taking photographs, eating delicious foods, hugging to each other give salami etc.
After the day, the groom chose to back to her parent’s house as a rasam or to go with her husband.
